Eat for fun in Copenhagen!

When you're hungry for fun

Explore all things sweet and tasty

Let’s explore all things edible and drinkable, that at the same time are just supposed to taste really good. Really, Copenhagen offers a lot of places that are just meant to offer only the very enjoyable good. So here we will focus less on healthy food and more on the sweet and fatty. So let´s eat for fun!

Sømods Bolcher

Classic caramel factory where you can still experience the craft today. Shows start regularly and you will learn all about the creation of the caramel. Free entrance. You can also shop directly in their factory store.
Nørregade 36

Sugar Pilots

Go exploring in a shop that only deals in lollipops. Watch them being made or why not buy a kit to make them at home. Fun anytime. You can prepare your visit by looking at their website.

Summerbird

Here, in addition to delicious chocolate, you will also find Copenhagen’s best cream buns. Yes, they taste extremely good and can be highly recommended. However, it´s a bit pricy but that´s life. Finally, eat at least two different kinds.
Kronprinsensgade 11

Summerbird has a somewhat anonymous exterior but a sweet interior

Chocolate by Hartmann

A cosy cafe and chocolate bar in the best collaboration. And all products are manufactured in Denmark with the very best ingredients. This is an enjoyable place to spend an hour or so. Located on the exciting Jægersborggade.
Jægersborggade 16

The very best in chocolate

Karamelleriet

This caramel production was started by two passionate people back in 2006. And that passion seems to live on in the exciting assortment. So visit the place and enjoy all the deliciousness.

Gasoline grill

Yes, it is exactly what it sounds like. A gasoline station and a grill. And it is completely special. Not least because Bloomberg named it one of the world’s 27 best burger joints. In fact, here you only eat because it’s so tasty! At this Gasoline grill there are always people in circulation waiting for the ultimate burger. Moreover, they can be found in several places in Copenhagen, but this particular one is my favourite.
Landgreven 10

And It is also still possible to get petrol here

Vodka Museum

As the title says, a museum that focuses solely on vodka. And here it’s about all the world’s varieties, and the museum has over 3000 different different ones to offer! You are recommended to check out their website as opening hours are quite limited.

Nowdays you can find the museum on the outskirts of Copenhagen

Schønnemann

You haven’t really been to Denmark if you haven’t tasted smørrebrød! And then there is hardly a better place than Schønnemann, which has been around serving them for like 150 years! They offer a massive menu and lots to choose from in terms of schnapps and beer.
Hauser Plads 16

Smørrebrød? A traditional Danish sandwich, which usually consists of wholemeal bread and various toppings

Uganda Ismejeri

Just west of Copenhagen Airport there is a beautiful commercial garden. And there is also an ice cream dairy here that makes delicious ice cream. The place is very popular among the locals and only few tourists find their way here.

I assume that the place got its name from the road they are on. So why is it called the Uganda road? This was decided a long time ago, if I’m not mistaken, in the 30s. And then we won’t talk about the Rhodesia road…
Ugandavej

The area has names from African countries

Olufs Is

Lovely assortment with deliciously tasty popsicles in all sizes. And the range of flavors is so extensive that it can be difficult to choose among them. Very much appreciated if you ask the local ones.
The place is located on Olufsvej, which is also known for its colorful houses.
