Digital nomad – on a shoestring – in copenhagen

Find a great workplace for free (almost)

Copenhagen is a well-known and popular destination for a digital nomad. And no wonder, as there are plenty of opportunities to have a great time here. And if you’re on a budget, this blog post is just for you.
So where can you find a workplace for the day? The libraries here offer ample opportunities, but cafes and hotels might also be right for you. In addition to this the city offers plenty of commercial options but this guide is mainly for those on a limited budget.

Other necessities such as food at the right price and nice free places to exercise brighten up the day.

The Black Diamond

Look around this exciting library and you will find several good places for your work session.
Personally, I think the older part of the building offers good opportunities. In addition, the free the internet connection is very good. The cafe on the ground floor is popular.

Main library

Take the escalators all the way to the top floor. Just as you get up you will see a number of tables and chairs. This is a quiet department though, so continue around the atrium hall and you will have plenty of work spaces to choose from.
Free high-capacity internet here too.

Steel House

Buy a cup of coffee and sit down at the work tables to the left of the entrance. Here you have several social workspaces where you can talk and laugh as you wish! And the internet connection is among the best in the city.
This is a hostel but the ground floor is open to everyone (who buys something at the bar!).

SMK Kafeteria

If you’re looking for a livelier place, this might be the place for you. Because this is truly a meeting place where many people enjoy being together and you’ll hopefully get some work done too!
Free internet is available, but make sure to charge your electronic devices as it can be difficult to reach a wall outlet.

Café Coco, Vesterbro

This cafe is a bit secluded, so you can also get a good place for your computer. Enjoy a cup of coffee and work away a few hours. And if the weather permits, you can even work outside.

Studenterhuset

A watering hole for students but everyone is welcome. Non profit so good prices on everything drinkable and edible and a nice patio to visit in the summer.
There are plenty of tables and power outlets here here and apparently some more quiet workplaces on the 1st floor. Great wifi. See opening hours here.
